History: Rules for the Astronomy Achievement Student Awards were approved at the 207th AAS Meeting in Washington, DC, January 2006.

Members: Members are appointed for each Meeting where Awards are presented.  The number of members on the committee varies, with a minimum of five, and includes at least one member of the Astronomy Education Board and the Director of Education.

Chair: Appointed by the Education Officer
