One PhD project will focus on a quantitative analysis of a subset of the O-star population, characterizing the stars and studying the effects of rotational mixing and binarity. The other PhD project is aimed at predicting the evolution of binary stars, including the physics of rotation and angular momentum.
Interested candidates should have a Master degree in astronomy or physics (or the equivalent) and submit via email (to the address of prof. de Koter) a concise letter of interest and a CV.
