Job Description:
The Physics Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is seeking outstanding candidates for a postdoctoral position in experimental cosmology. We are particularly interested in candidates with interest in the SDSS-III Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (http://sdss3.org), which begins operations in summer 2009. There are also opportunities to work with members of the Berkeley cosmology group (http://cosmology.lbl.gov), the Supernova Acceleration Probe (http://snap.lbl.gov), and the Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics (http://bccp.lbl.gov).This position requires a Ph.D. in Astronomy and/or Physics. Experience in spectroscopy and large surveys is highly desirable. This is a two-year term position with the possibility of renewal.
